Do it Yourself, Peplum Edition

Feeling Crafty?

I started with this oversized men’s t-shirt, because we all know they are way more comfortable and way cheaper than women’s shirts. 2 for 20 bucks with fun prints! Can’t beat that! With a couple of cuts, pleats and scrunchie magic, the Nintendo Peplum was born!

I used my dress form to get the right shape for the bodice, but basically fit it by trial and error and added the bottom half once the top half was the right size. Here’s the final project, also my outfit of the day!

I hope this inspires anyone else feeling crafty, let me know if you would like more detailed instructions on making peplum’s out of t-shirts, I do have one more shirt to convert. Happy Monday!!
